The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we tested. It could be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between surfaces, such as hardwood and rug.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. It's also an excellent idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they don't become clogged with dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. It then continues cleaning where it started. The battery's lifespan is around an hour-and-a-half of continuous usage. It takes three hours to charge.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin, which eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is noticeable superior on carpets with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to spend on the latest model of robot. It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our tests, and often passes over the same areas many times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front makes it possible to reach corners and the edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it lacks the mapping capabilities of more sophisticated models such as our top picks and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. Because of this, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently is power-depleted before making it back to its base.
